2. Why off-grid? How?

Imagine this. No utility bills, minimal maintenance costs and you’re contributing to the environment is a positive way.

Feels good?

This is why we go off-grid. Being off-grid allows you to be self-sufficient, it allows you to save energy and it allows YOU to be in control.

  • Solar power completely removes the need for using non-renewable energy resources, dramatically lowering your carbon footprint. Solar trailers are a great way to go as their orientation is not based on your tiny house, batteries store excessive energy for future use, and passive solar design ensures natural ventilation and a decrease in energy usage.

  • Rainwater tanks allow you to collect water and not have to depend on external water sources for your use. Rainwater bladders can also be used beneath trailers for a smaller and more slimline approach, in particular if your are planning on moving about, bladders can be rolled up and easily taken with you.

  • Composting toilets are much more sustainable and environmentally friendly than flush toilets. With composting toilets, you don’t need to deal with septic tanks or worry about plumbing into town sewerage disposal and pay the ongoing access costs with it.

The trailer can be driven by B + E category driving license owners.

Note: In order to keep within weight limits, the maximum length is typically less than 12.5m, due to the concentration of weight of a typical tiny house.

5. Do you customise your tiny houses?

We are happy to work with you and may be able to accommodate some further customisation, depending on the extent. Full bespoke designs are not currently offered due to the high costs involved and our ethos of providing affordable housing.
